The meaning behind ÉMOTO

ÉMOTO was not born from a business plan. It was developed through a desire to create emotive work, long before it had a body of work to show for it. A strong sensitivity toward emotion, nostalgia and the fleeting nature of experience shaped it right from the start.

Wedding videography and photography bring together many of the things that have always felt most important. People, travel, art, music, true intimacy and the act of capturing human connection.

ÉMOTO is built around three ideas:

Romance is the beginning. Long before the wedding day, in the anticipation of it, the countdown, the nerves, the imagining of a moment that hasn't happened yet. And then it arrives. The influence of French culture emerged naturally from this pursuit. In 2025, ÉMOTO was brought to Paris and with it came a deeper relationship with the city's visual and cultural themes, its impression of cinema, painting, music, architecture, fashion and the general appreciation for art. 

At its heart, ÉMOTO remains true with something very simple - people and the moments they will one day remember. To be invited into someone's wedding is to be trusted with a small piece of their history. The work is approached with care, not simply because the day is important, but because its importance will continue to change as time passes.

What a wedding is on the day itself becomes a memory afterwards. And eventually that memory becomes part of a life. ÉMOTO exists to preserve a part of that journey.
